Accessibility

Last updated: April 18, 2026

This site is being built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. That's the standard for making web content usable for people with a wide range of abilities, including those who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, or high-contrast settings.

What's in place

  • Semantic HTML and a logical heading hierarchy on every page
  • Keyboard navigation support, including a skip-to-content link on every page
  • Text contrast of at least 4.5:1 across all body copy (meets AA)
  • Descriptive alt text on meaningful images
  • Responsive layouts that work on phone, tablet, and desktop without horizontal scrolling
  • Respect for prefers-reduced-motion: all animations are suppressed when that setting is enabled

Known gaps

The site embeds two third-party widgets: the home valuation tool from checkyourhomevalue.ca and the Google Calendar booking page. These widgets render in their own iframes, and I can't directly control their accessibility compliance. If either tool presents a barrier for you, I have a direct alternative:

A formal accessibility audit is scheduled before the site goes to production on its primary domain. Any gaps found will be documented and fixed here.
